Welcome to Month 8 for the Star In The West BOM Quilt-Along, brought to you by Swan Amity Studios and Gorram Quilts!
We are very excited to be working with our sponsor, American Made Brand fabrics, for this QAL. AMB make beautiful solid fabrics that are rich in color and so soft. The fabric is sourced and manufactured in the United States. Coincidentally, they’re also located in Seattle. They will be providing a few prizes throughout the year, but more will be revealed later.
Month 8’s pattern was emailed earlier this morning. If you don’t receive it, please check your junk folder and then send us an email or comment below, and we’ll investigate.
This month is another bottom border. It uses the Easy Angle Tool 6-1/2″ Half-Square Triangle Ruler, though if you don’t have it, the pattern tells you how to mark it off. I would suggest measuring twice and double checking before you cut… not that I messed that up or anything.
Here is part of my row in the AMB solids.
After you make your row, attach it onto the bottom of your quilt.
We have a Flick group that you are welcome to join and share your progress.
Also, if you post on social media, please use #StarInTheWestQuilt.
If you haven’t signed up yet, you still can through Swan Amity’s website. It’s only $24 for the whole year.
We’re looking forward to seeing your evergrowing quilt. Please let us know if you have any questions. Happy quilting!
